Best Travel Video in The World Competition

Have you ever dreamed of being a travel journalist? Well, here is your chance to be discovered by submitting your travel video to Around the World, the award winning radio and Internet TV show.

Contest Rules


The competition is open to anyone other than employees of Ampersand LLC, AM 1290 KZSB or American Travel Media Corporation. The rules set herewith are between American Travel Media Corporation and the contestant that submits travel videos to the competition.

Videos must be the property of the contestant and the contestant is responsible for any copyrights therein. By submitting the video for the competition, the contestant certifies that the contestant holds the copyright to the material. Furthermore the contestant agrees to allow American Travel Media Corporation, without compensation, to broadcast in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and video data storage), which American Travel Media Corporation may deem appropriate.

The video must not be longer than 2 1/2 minutes in length.

The video must be received by American Travel Media Corporation through e-mail: travelworldradio@aol.com no later than September 30, 2009.

The winner will be announces on the October 29 show of Around the World. Prizes, if any are not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.

Decisions of the competition judges are final - no substitutions will be available.

By participating in the competition and submitting the video(s), the contestants authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and video for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture data storage) which American Travel Media Corporation may deem appropriate.

In accepting any prizes, the winners, and any guest(s), acknowledges that American Travel Media Corporation, Ampersand LLC and AM 1290 KZSB may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using the prize(s).

American Travel Media Corporation retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.

This competition is subject to all federal and state laws and any taxes connected with the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner(s).

American Travel Media Corporation reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this competition at any time without prior notice.

In consideration of the winner's (and guest's) participation in the competition, the winner hereby accepts all risk to health and injury or death that may result from such participation, including transportation and all other adjunct activities, and hereby releases American Travel Media Corporation, its board, officers, employees and representatives from any liability to winner or guests, personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to property and for any and all illness or injury to person, including death, that may result from or occur during participation in the activities and/or travel, whether caused by any type of negligence of American Travel Media Corporation, its board, officers, employees, or representatives, or otherwise. Winner further agree to indemnify and hold harmless American Travel Media Corporation and its board, officers, employees, and representatives from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from winner's negligent or intentional act or omission while participating in the activities and/or travel.

If prize involves a travel destination and accommodation, it is subject to airline ticket and hotel availability. If prize involves travel, winner and travel companion must agree to the airline's Terms and Conditions of travel. Once confirmed, trip dates and travel accommodations cannot be changed by winner; however, travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, and/or change due to circumstances beyond Sponsors' and Administrators' control. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same dates, itinerary, and fare class. No extensions will be permitted, and any unused travel will be forfeited. Winner and guest are responsible for ensuring that all travel papers required for travel to the Destination are in good order, and are valid prior to, and for the entire duration of, the Grand Prize Period. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated and must be accepted as awarded, cash equivalent substitution will not be available. All tickets issued in conjunction with the Grand Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code-share flights may be used.

By submitting a video to the competition, the contestant certifies the following:
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND IT TO BE A RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION FOR MY INJURY OR DEATH OR DAMAGE TO MY PROPERTY THAT OCCURS WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE ABOVE DESCRIBED ACTIVITY AND/OR TRAVEL AND THAT IT OBLIGATES ME TO INDEMNIFY THE PARTIES NAMED FOR ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY OR DEATH OF ANY PERSON AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY CAUSED BY MY NEGLIGENT OR INTENTIONAL ACT OR OMISSION. THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WHICH SHALL BE THE FORUM FOR ANY LAWSUITS FILED UNDER OR INCIDENT TO THIS AGREEMENT OR ACTIVITY.
