Diane Covington

Diane Covington graduated from UCLA, cum laude, with a BA degree in Cultural Anthropology. She has completed many courses in journalism at Ventura College and American River College in Sacramento.

Covington does frequent commentaries for National Public Radio and won the Society for Professional Journalists award of Honorable Mention for her series on the 60th anniversary of D-Day, June 2004.

She worked for the Ojai Valley news before becoming a free-lance journalist. Her work has appeared in Reader's Digest, The Sun, More Magazine, Organic Spa, Ventana, Sierra Alive, Sierra Heritage, Coast Kids and Celtic Heritage magazines. She has also been featured in The Sacramento Bee, the San Diego Union Tribune, The Ventura County Star, The Union, The Santa Rosa Press Democrat and the Honolulu Star Tribune, among other newspapers and ezines.

She teaches Creative Writing, is a Life Coach, Writing Coach and Professional Editor for a few select clients.

Covington lives on an organic apple farm in Northern California, when she is not off having great travel adventures.
